A Note for Designers and Sales

Please reach us at wentzcustomrugco@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  1. Loop and cut pile Woven materials typically are finished with Serging
  2. Flat weave materials are typically finished with Wide Binding
  3. Tufted Shags are typically finished with binding.
  4. Loop and cut pile tufted materials are typically finished with binding or Serging

Generally when departing from this it’s best to discuss with us the viability of an alternative option.

  1. Avoid seams if possible. Seams present more issues in a rug than they do when material is installed.
  2. If the material has no pattern or one with no structure, then generally you just need to order a couple inches more than your intended size.
  3. If the material has a pattern. We need to know which way you want the Length of the carpet to run in relation to the dimensions of your rug.

  • If you want the pattern balanced(where one side looks the same as the opposite side) then you need to add HALF the length of the pattern to the length of your order

For multiple rugs, if there is a pattern, we need a Cut Sheet( which is a diagram of how the rugs will be cut out of the carpet). This is to explain how you want the Length of the carpet to run in relation to the dimensions of each of the rugs.

If seams are a requirement of the project it is best to consult with us before ordering as there are many varying factors.
